Other International Trade Agreements

(also known as "Free Trade Agreements" or FTAs)

In addition to the GATS, the U.S. is a party to other international trade agreements that include legal services within their coverage. Listed below are some of these agreements, which are also referred to as "Free Trade Agreements" or FTAs.

NAFTA Secretariat
   The NAFTA was signed in 1993. The parties to the NAFTA are the U.S., Canada    and Mexico. Chapters 11 and 12 and the Annexes are among the most relevant    provisions for legal services.
