Task Force on the Model Definition of the Practice of Law

I do not believe that mediation belongs in the paragraph which defines adjudicative body. As you know mediation is a voluntary process, where no decision is rendered, and the parties come to a settlement with the aid of a third party neutral. Also in the case of non-binding arbitration a decision is rendered by the arbitrator, but it has no lasting effect if the parties choose to ignore that decision. I suspect the defining of the practice of law will prove to be an ongoing saga for some time. See you soon.
