Mr. Sherwin P. Simmons, Chairman
Commission on Multidisciplinary Practice
Center for Professional Responsibility

Dear Mr. Simmons:
As a professionally trained Social Worker and President of a multi-service community based agency, the Atlanta Urban League, Inc., I enthusiastically endorse and encourage the Bar Association at the State and National Level, to consider and /or mandate the inclusion of multidisciplinary partners in law firms. It is my feeling that citizens are better served by a "one-stop" experience service and thereby avoid the confusion and barriers that accompany multiple referrals.
Consumers will benefit and professionals will prosper with the options to create and operate as a multidisciplinary service provider. The various professionals, lawyers, social workers, psychologists, etc. will learn a great deal from each other and will enhance the quality of life in the communities where they work and serve.
Again, the Atlanta Urban League endorses the concept of multidisciplinary partnerships.
