LPM Diversity Leadership Program

The ABA Law Practice Management Section (LPM) is committed to increasing the participation of diverse lawyers within its active membership.  Its goals are to (1) provide lawyers who are already members of the ABA and/or state, local bar or special interest bar associations an opportunity to become involved in the substantive work of the Section, (2) develop future leaders of LPM and (3) enhance knowledge about the work of LPM among the members of the legal profession.

LPM anticipates that, as a result of their contributions as active Section members during the one-year term in this Program, members of the diversity leadership program will continue to advance in the Section, and also encourage other lawyers to become active in the Section by applying for the Diversity Leadership Program, or submitting an application to join one of our various committees or boards.

Two leaders will be selected annually from applicants by LPM’s Diversity Committee. To be considered for selection, the applicant must have practiced for at least three years, and have demonstrated leadership in another ABA Section, Division or other entity, and/or a state, local or special interest bar association. A Diversity Leadership application will be available on the Section’s web site each year during the time of the Section’s committee appointment process.
