As Membership Officer of the ABA Section of International Law (“ABA International”), I extend my warmest personal greetings to you and welcome you to ABA International’s website.  This particular web-page is dedicated to you – whether you are a new member, one considering membership, or are a longstanding member who is seeking advice on member benefits.  On this webpage (and elsewhere on the Section’s website) are the people and the resources that can assist you.

Membership in ABA International is an important professional asset of yours.  ABA International has approximately 22,000 members in over 90 countries, and with greater than 60 committees devoted to substantive areas of the law.  In addition, ABA International offers cutting-edge conferences and educational programming, publishes books and periodicals that assist both the practitioner and the scholar, and provides extensive networking opportunities for your professional development.  Everything that ABA International offers is designed to help its members succeed.

Membership is free in ABA International’s committees.  By becoming a member of the American Bar Association and a Section member, you can join as many of ABA International’s substantive committees as you want—1, 5, 15, or more!  You will soon benefit from the knowledge and the world-wide contacts that ABA International has to offer.

It is important to note that you do not need to be a U.S.-qualified attorney to be part of ABA International.  You may join ABA International under a number of different categories—lawyer, associate, law student, and student associate simply by clicking here.

If you are a new member and /or a first-time attendee at one of our Fall meetings, please send me an email, so that I can greet you personally. My email address is:  RBrown@bgdlegal.com

The door is wide open for you to join the largest association of lawyers in the world.

If you are not yet a member of ABA International, it would be an honor for me to welcome you as a member, so that you can start taking advantage of the benefits that membership in ABA International provides and which are summarized below.

Welcome to ABA International!

Cordially yours,

Robert Brown
