LitigateDSV Listserv

Hosted Since October 2003 - Over 600 Members

Apply to Join the LitigateDSV Listserv

The Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence hosts a monitored, litigators-only listserv to provide a forum for victims’ attorneys to discuss issues that arise in the process of litigation, and to provide peer-to-peer assistance and mentorship.

As representation of victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking extends far beyond family law cases, litigators from all practice settings are encouraged to apply so long as the list criteria are met.

The LitigateDV listserv is open only to those attorneys who maintain a substantial and active practice of cases on behalf of individual victims. The practice must include substantial in-court representation.

·  Membership is open to victims' lawyers only. The listserv is not open to those who represent perpetrators of abuse or who are otherwise involved in litigation on behalf of abusers.

·  American Bar Association membership is not a prerequisite for membership in the listserv, nor does membership on its own qualify one for admission to the listserv.

·  The list is ‘quietly moderated’ by the Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence, which means that messages are screened for relevance and appropriateness, but not edited. The Commission reserves the right to grant or deny access to the listserv to anyone at any time.
