On behalf of the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution I am honored to invite you to the Section’s Fifteenth Annual Spring Conference in Chicago, Illinois April 3-6, 2013. The conference is the meeting place for dispute resolution leaders, mediators, arbitrators, attorney advocates, neutral providers, consumers, and scholars. Presenters and attendees have diverse backgrounds including academics, advocates, court administrators, corporate users, as well as dispute resolvers. Our numerous repeat attendees all know what a great opportunity this conference presents for both learning and networking.
As a Kansas City resident I am thrilled that we are bringing the conference for the first time to the Midwest and we look forward to enjoying all that Chicago has to offer. The Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park is an “exquisitely re-imagined” downtown Chicago hotel. Located near Grant Park, the Fairmont is a few short steps away from area attractions, restaurants and shopping. Visit the Art Institute, Field Museum, Navy Pier, the shops along the Magnificent Mile and the boutiques of Oak Street. The theatre district and various musical venues are also nearby for your entertainment pleasure.
Conference registration provides an incredible value giving you access to all concurrent sessions on Thursday and Friday, the Thursday Welcome Reception, the Symposium on ADR in the Courts (on Wednesday, April 3rd) and the Legal Educators Colloquium and the International Committee Workshop (on Saturday, April 6th). The Symposium on ADR in the Courts, Legal Educators Colloquium and International Committee Workshop Luncheons may also be purchased as stand alone events. I ask all of you to remind your friends of the conference and to encourage at least one new attendee to come. For those who have never been to the Spring Conference, I urge you to take advantage of the First-Time Attendee special registration rate.
I look forward to seeing you in Chicago!
