Meeting Agenda

The agenda for the meeting is currently being developed. For travel planning purposes, you will likely wish to arrive on Thursday, January 26, 2017 and depart on Sunday, January 29, 2017.

If you are unable to attend the meeting in person and wish to dial in to any of the Committee or Subcommittee Meetings, please note that dial in information will be available at least one week prior to the meeting.

The full committee meeting is tentatively scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 3pm to 5:30pm PST.


Registration is now open. You are encouraged to read this page in its entirety first to be aware of several New Changes for 2017 before registering. If you are registering on behalf of someone else, be sure that you communicate these changes to anyone traveling to Laguna Beach to avoid any confusion. When ready, click on Register Now on the right side of this page to register for the meeting!

Breakfasts & Lunches

Registration fees cover the costs of breakfast and lunches (no more lunch tickets!) on Friday and Saturday, for the primary registrant.  You must purchase breakfast and lunch passes for any guests traveling with you that will join us at group breakfasts and lunches*.  The 2017 registration rates are as follows:

  • Committee Member – $445 (now includes lunches!)
  • Non-ABA Member – $520 (now includes lunches!)
  • Law Student – Free 

*The costs for guests of primary registrants to join group breakfasts and lunches are as follows:

  • 2-day Guest Breakfast Pass  – $100
  • 2-day Guest Lunch Pass  – $170  (Guest breakfasts are not included in Registration Fee) 

Ticketed Dinners

Dinners & ticket prices have not been finalized pending identification of sponsors.  Meeting registrants will be advised when dinner tickets become available for purchase.  However, please note that dinners are planned for the following evenings:

  • Friday, January 27, 2017 - $TBA
  • Saturday, January 28, 2017 - $TBA

CANCELLATION POLICY: Refunds will be granted for all written requests received by Friday, January 13, 2017. Refunds will not be granted after this date; however we will gladly accept substitutions for those unable to attend. Submit all refund requests to Dorcus Logan at dorcus.logan@americanbar.org.

Please note that you must first register for the meeting with the ABA before booking a room in the room block.  Once you have your ABA meeting registration confirmation number, please complete the Hotel Reservation Form.  Room reservations will not be processed for guests that are not registered for the meeting. 

The group room rate is $290/night, plus applicable taxes, and only one room is permitted per registrant.
