Staff Biographies

Jennifer Lewin

Jennifer has worked to strengthen bar associations and the capacity of their leadership since she joined the ABA Division for Bar Services in 1997. Jennifer has facilitated more than 75 strategic planning initiatives, board trainings, and operational reviews and is a regular speaker at bar conferences around the country. She serves on the ABA Bar Leadership Institute planning team and authors publications for bar leaders such as New Bar President and BoardLink. Jennifer is a member of BoardSource, the National Association of Bar Executives and the Association Forum of Chicagoland.

Jennifer is an obsessive gardener and food-lover. Prior to bar work, she was an art historian and wrote about the surrealist movement in Prague.

Karyn Linn

Karyn Linn has been with the American Bar Association since 1994. Her tenure began as the Tort and Insurance Practice Section's CLE Manager and, in 1996, Karyn joined the Division for Bar Services as the Field Service Representative. Prior to working at the ABA, Karyn served for 6 years as the Assistant Director of CLE at the Chicago Bar Association.

As Director of Bar Outreach & Education, Karyn travels to bar associations to consult with bar leaders and executive staff about association management issues and best practices and to share information about ABA resources and services available to bar associations. Karyn is also trained to facilitate strategic planning and leadership development sessions. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, the National Association of Bar Executives and BoardSource.
