Elizabeth Derrico

Elizabeth Derrico has worked for bar associations for over 26 years. Currently she is the associate director for bar information and management in the ABA’s Division for Bar Services, a position she has held for fifteen years. In this position she has management responsibility for the division’s consulting services program, field service program, clearinghouse, and marketing initiatives. Prior to joining the ABA, she worked for the New York State Bar Association for nearly 11 years, first as the local bar services representative and then as the associate director of communications. She has no recollection of life before bar association work. Elizabeth received her undergraduate degree in Government from Wheaton College in Norton, MA, and a Master’s in Public Affairs from the State University at Albany. Her goal for ‘11 is to make the perfect pie crust.

Jennifer Lewin

Jennifer Lewin joined the ABA's Division for Bar Services in 1997. During her tenure, she served as ABA staff director for the National Conference of Bar Presidents and the Metropolitan Bar Caucus, and spearheaded the division's launch of a formalized Consulting Services Program. In addition to serving as field service representative, currently she facilitates bar association strategic planning sessions and operational reviews. Jennifer also authors a white paper series on bar management issues, and follows trends in nonprofit governance and organizational behavior. Her most recent projects, a white paper on association-section relations and an update of the division's New Bar President and Members of the Board, will be published this fall. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, BoardSource and the National Association of Bar Executives. In her previous life, Jennifer taught art history at Northwestern University.

Karyn Linn

Karyn Linn has been with the American Bar Association since 1994. Her tenure began as the Tort and Insurance Practice Section's CLE Manager and, in 1996, Karyn joined the Division for Bar Services as the Field Service Representative. Prior to working at the ABA, Karyn served for 6 years as the Assistant Director of CLE at the Chicago Bar Association.

As Staff Director of the Field Service Program, Karyn travels to bar associations to consult with bar leaders and executive staff about association management issues and best practices and to share information about ABA resources and services available to bar associations. Karyn is also trained to facilitate strategic planning and leadership development sessions. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, the National Association of Bar Executives and BoardSource.
