Affordable Housing Committee
This Committee is actively recruiting new members and posting relevant information onto the Affordable Housing Committee’s website about the varied changes in the affordable housing industry. Multi-Family Residential Committee
This Committee hosted a mini webinar for RPTE members on September 28, 2010. The topic was “Loan Documentation and Title Insurance Aspects of the Conversion of Multi-Family Construction Loans to Permanent Financing.” The presenters were Bruce Hawley of Stewart Title Guaranty Company in Fairfield, CT, and Jeffrey Pascale of Robinson & Cole in New York City. Senior Housing and Assisted Living Committee
In December, 2010, the Senior Housing and Assisted Living Committee hosted a conference call, "Senior Housing and Assisted Living Projects - Acquisition and Financing," covering emerging trends in purchasing and financing projects in the continuing care industry with input from Nickolay Bochilo with Bell Partners, an owner and operator of continuing care facilities, as well as Michael Ortlip with GrandBridge Real Estate Capital, a major continuing care lender. Single Family Residential Committee
This Committee is facilitating the Group panel discussion for the 2011 Spring Symposia titled, “Burning the Candle at Both Ends: Origination Changes and Servicing Challenges that are Transforming the Mortgage Industry.” The panel will address the changes in practice and regulations within the mortgage industry to include an overview of the origination loan process, mortgage lending activities, legislative changes to existing mortgage lending and foreclosure laws; and the changing role of the real estate attorney in the closing process to provide a basis of understanding of the mortgage industry’s impact on both residential and commercial real estate law practices.
