Throughout the 34 years of its existence, the Section of Litigation has devoted extraordinary effort to preserving and promoting the American justice system. We spearheaded the Vanishing Jury Project, which led to the ABA’s American Jury Project. We created the Task Force on the Independence of the Judiciary, which has focused on practical ways to assure that our judges are the fair and impartial decision-makers that are so central to public confidence in our system of justice.…
