Practice Management Advisors' Finance Tip
Keeping Up With Billing

Pick one day each month and schedule it for billing; put those days on your calendar well in advance. Except for court ordered appearances, treat it as a client meeting that should not be canceled or re-scheduled. All of your bills should be reviewed and finalized as efficiently as possible. (Avoid interruptions and distractions!) Keep track of the amount of time that it takes you to complete the task. When you know how much time a task will take, it is easier to begin it.

The LPM Web site will soon have more tips like this an others related to legal marketing, management, technology, and finance. Got a tip you want to share? Contact Fred Faulkner at Fred.Faulkner@americanbar.org.

Susan Raridon Lambreth (LPM Section Delegate to the ABA House of Delegates)
and her husband Clifton are proud to announce the arrival of their new son. Matthew Richard Lambreth was born Friday, May 9. Vital stats: 7 lbs., 12 oz., 20 3/4 inches long. Congratulations to Susan and Clifton!

In The Spotlight focuses on the accomplishments of LPM Members. To submit your or a colleague's name and achievement for recognition, please contact Lea Rucker at ruckerl@staff.abanet.org.
