Upcoming CLE Programs:

JULY 16 : What We've Learned from the Real Estate Crisis (So Far) , is an ABA Connection,one-hour CLE teleconference, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. EST. The program is sponsored by the ABA Journal, Membership and Marketing, and the Center for Continuing Legal Education.
This ABA Journal article and teleconference will assess the legal aspects of the real estate crisis, especially the litigation it has spawned and the legal matters lawyers are handling for clients who are buying, selling or just trying to hang on to property. Among those topics will be the spike in foreclosure work and how lawyers are adapting provisions of the recent federal legislation revising bankruptcy law to the current situation.

SEPTEMBER 17: Wrangling Over Water Rights, is another ABA Connection,one-hour CLE teleconference, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. EST.
Sponsored by the ABA Journal, Membership and Marketing, and the Center for Continuing Legal Education, this article and teleconference will explain how the legal fights over water are already developing in legislatures, regulatory agencies and the courts, at both the state and federal levels, and how those battles differ from region to region. Although the law has governed access to water for centuries the legal system may not be prepared to sort out the issues that are developing now.
