Corporate In-House Counsel

Many in-house attorneys are not licensed in the state in which they practice, resulting in the inability to provide pro bono services. In response to this, many states have amended their practice rules to allow in-house counsel to engage in pro bono service. Presently, 41 states have some form of rule that allows in-house counsel to provide pro bono, even if they are not licensed in that state.
