Judicial Division Conferences

The Judicial Division (JD) is the umbrella for its six membership Conferences. All JD members must select one of the Conferences based on their court jurisdiction or specialization when they enroll. The Division’s leadership and committees are composed of members from all six Conferences who work together on collaborative JD projects and initiatives. In addition, each Conference includes its own governance, committees, projects and programs. Judges, lawyers, professors, legal professionals and law students are all welcome to join the Judicial Division; Conference selection is based on eligibility listed below.

Appellate Judges Conference (AJC)

The AJC is home to appellate judges from federal circuit courts, state courts of last resort, state intermediate appellate courts, and the military court of appeals. Appellate practitioners and appellate staff attorneys are welcome to join AJC and must enroll in the Council of Appellate Lawyers (CAL) or the Council of Appellate Staff Attorneys (CASA). Lawyers Conference (LC)

The LC is the home to lawyers, court managers, legal teachers, writers and publishers, and law students interested in the advancement of the judiciary. The LC is open to lawyers, associates, students, professors, and anyone interested in the judiciary, for more information on eligibility please review LC bylaws. (Established in 1975)

The NCALJ is home to federal and state administrative law judges, board of contract appeals judges and hearing officers, and other administrative adjudicators within the federal, state and local executive branch of government.
