Lawyers need to have knowledge of the law – that’s obvious – but what about practice management? Few law schools prepare lawyers on the needs of running a law practice and not all lawyers have natural business skills to do so, but practicing law and practice management complement one another and lead to a well-rounded career.
The ABA Law Practice Management Section (LPM) specializes in providing attorneys the necessary resources to manage a law practice. This October, LPM is meeting in Cape Cod, MA, for the annual LPM Fall Meeting where we host multiple CLE sessions and our members meet to develop new resources for the profession.
Attend and experience the following CLE sessions:
♦ Google for Lawyers
♦ Smart Phones for Lawyers: Choosing, Managing and Securing Them
♦ Web Site 201: Ditch the Tired (and Ineffective) Old Web Site
♦ Every Lawyer’s Goal: Avoiding Malpractice
♦ 60 Law Firm Finance Tips
The LPM Fall Meeting is also a great event to meet knowledgeable professionals and expand your network. We hope you will join us in Cape Cod, MA, October 12-15, 2011, where you will learn why practicing law and practice management go hand-in-hand. Registration is now open.
