In February, the Europe and Eurasia division of the Rule of Law Initiative (CEELI) hosted a reception that celebrated the 10 year anniversary of its legal reform program in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
The Rule of Law Initiative and Judicial Prosecutorial Training Centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) recently held advocacy skills trainings for prosecutors and defense attorneys from throughout BiH.
On March 21, 2007, the Rule of Law Initiative, in cooperation with the Judicial and Prosecutorial Training (JPTC) center in Republic Srpska, presented the publication War Crimes Decisions in Bosnia and Herzegovina - Final and Binding Decisions 1992 – 2006, to members of the Republic Srpska judiciary.
The final round of “Support for the Implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy and Action Plan of Bosnia & Herzegovina” a project founded by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and implemented by Rule of Law Initiative Bosnia staff, proved to be a major success.
Building upon the success of the Stability Pact Anti-Corruption Initiative's (SPAI) "twinning-type" projects in South Eastern Europe (SEE), the Rule of Law Initiative in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) partnered with SPAI to organize a study tour to Slovenia for a working group of Bosnians tasked with developing a law establishing the Agency for Prevention of Corruption.
