Podcast: Tackling Gender Based Violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, gender-based violence has been used as a weapon in the ongoing civil conflict. Official statistics from the Ministry of Gender show some 5,000 female survivors of gender-based violence in the provinces of South and North Kivu in 2007.
