This panel examined the domestic and global movement for the full legal equality of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) persons, using a rights-based approach to explain the connection between legal empowerment and human development. Panelists discussed successes within the LGBT rights movements in the U.S. and overseas, as well as ways organizations can benefit from working together to promote the human rights of LGBT persons.
